PILLS OR FOOD, HOSPITAL OR KITCHEN . . . . CHOICE IS YOUR

How wonderful it would be if your doctor tells you that, ”I am reducing (or terminating) your medicines.”

In our culture popping pills is a typical of every household. People with certain medical conditions gulp medicines empty stomach, before breakfast, after breakfast, before lunch, after lunch, before dinner, after dinner, even at bedtime. There is no time of day when they don’t do this. They have intermingled medications in their life in such a way that they feel they are inseparable from medicines till the death does them apart.

Putting it technically right, they swallow their medicines mindlessly the way they gorge on their food mindlessly.

It sounds ironical though, but the people never take precautions and remedial actions when it comes to eating. They will eat all that junk food and then pop in a tablet imagining that it will take care of everything they have eaten. I have seen diabetics gorging on unhealthy sweetmeats. I have patients who say that they consume anti acids before going to a party or any celebration, so that it doesn’t give them heartburn and acid reflux the next day. The pill is their lifestyle.

Many people with heart disease swear by that they gulp their blood thinning medicines and cholesterol lowering tablets day and night but never abstain from the unhealthful eating. On the contrary a healthy diet should be their lifestyle. I am not saying that a diabetic can’t savor sweets and heart patient has to eat tasteless food stuff always. I am just trying to convey that people need to look at their food in a disciplined way. Their eating routine should be in the apple pie order always.

Every disease is curable with plant-based diets. We can reverse the diseases with a planned diet.

Pills shouldn’t be our cup of tea, curing ourselves with diet should be. Just imagine visiting your doctor after putting the reigns of your diet in your hands. How wonderful it would be if the doctor tells you,” I am reducing (or terminating) your medicines.” A customized diet does wonders. The research shows that various diseases where the patient was declared incurable were cured and reversed with the help of plant based diet.

Eating doesn’t end life but the colorful pills surely do. After all we eat to live not live to eat.
